Oriflame pure nature organic " acai and pomegranate" face wash

Hi everybody !! I am back....the trip was great.....and I enjoyed a lot with all my cousins and family....today I am going to review a face wash from oriflame......read on to know how it fared in my books...

WHAT THE PRODUCT CLAIMS

Face wash with organic extracts
Lather and rinse off avoiding eye area

PRICE

INR 329 For 150 ml

MY TAKE

Ingredients

1. The packaging is travel friendly except the size of the bottle which is slightly long.

2. It is of liquid consistency so you have to be careful when you take the product out as a lot of product can get wasted

3. the fragrance is amazing....never smelt something so amazing in a face wash..probably that is the only plus point of this face wash

4. It does not do what a face wash is required to do...which is "cleanse".....it just sits on your face and...washes off with water

5. Does not lather at all....and does not remove any makeup....this is the worst face wash I have probably used in terms of cleansing.

LIKES

1. The fragrance - it is simply amazing

DISLIKES

1. oriflame products are only available through agents
2. Does not cleanse at all
3. Does not remove makeup
4. You don't feel fresh at all after using this
5. Does not lather

FINAL RATING

1/5

It is easily the worst face wash I have used till now...please do not buy this

a tutorial coming soon on the blog...stay tuned

Marks & Spencer floral collection "Rose" hand and body lotion

hi ladies ! today I am going to review a hand and body lotion by Marks & Spencer. I have been using it for past 1 month...so lets see if it lived up to my expectations...

WHAT THE PRODUCT CLAIMS

With the fragrance of timeless english rose, this hand and body lotion is enriched with shea butter to condition and nourish, leaving it beautiflly scented, soft and smooth

*not recommended for facial use

PRICE

INR 299 for 250 ml

MY TAKE

Ingredients

1. The packaging is travel friendly, sleek and pump dispenser type. you can easily regulate the amount you need from the bottle

2. gets easily absorbed in the skin..leaving the skin feeling soft and supple

3. the fragrance is literally rose like and very fresh....but its a strong floral scent so people with sensitive noses may not like it.

4. the color of the cream is white with a slight hint of pink which is not visible on camera...

5. It may not be suitable for very dry skinned girls because the texture is very light...and is unlike body butters, which also makes them great summer moisturizers.

LIKES

1.Travel friendly packaging
2. absorbs easily on the skin
3. moisturizes well
4. ideal for combination and oily skin people
5. very nice rosy fragrance which lingers on for quite sometime

DISLIKES

1. Contains parabens
2. may not work for dry skin in winters

FINAL RATING

4/5

Overall an excellent moisturizer for summers and heaven for floral smell loving people

till the next post

DIY- How to fix broken eyeshadow, powder, blush

Hi everybody ! I am the clumsiest person you'll ever see when it comes to handling makeup...I often drop my powders and blushes, so..I can't afford to lose all of them and stop using them when they break.

So, today I am going to show you, how to fix your broken makeup powders, blushes and eyeshadows....

ITEMS YOU WILL NEED :

1. Broken makeup item
2. A spoon that you don't use
3. Rubbing/surgical alcohol (available at any chemist)
4. A piece of cloth

STEP - 1

Break the blush even further with the spoon and turn it into a powder form

STEP - 2

Now add the rubbing alcohol and make a paste of the blush...Don't worry if you add too much alcohol because it is anyways going to get evaporated but the only thing is that the blush will take time to set.

STEP - 3

Now let the blush dry out for around 15-20 minutes, and then with a piece of cloth press down the blush gently but firmly...don't apply too much pressure otherwise you might crack the blush again.

STEP - 4

Leave the blush to dry in open air...you can leave it overnight also if you have added too much alcohol...

and....voila your blush will look new as ever !!!

I hope you guys found this post helpful...I tried to explain it clearly...but if you have any questions please feel free ask it below in the comments...

till my next post

*I have used Lakme pure rouge blusher in "Ginger surprise"

December favorites !!!

Hello guys and girls !! I am here with my December favorites today.....there were very few things that I was loving in the month of December because i didn't get to go out this month as much as the previous month, so i didn't use much makeup....

so, without further ado, lets start with our December favorites :)

1. MAKEUP FAVORITES

1.1)  Maybelline color tattoo in "Bad to the Bronze"

love, love, love this eyeshadow sooo much, whenever I am feeling lazy, I just slap some on, on my eyelids and it looks as if I have put  so much of time and effort in doing my eye makeup....its just so simple to apply.....you just need an eyeliner and mascara after this and you are out of the door in 2 minutes. i definitely recommend this cream eyeshadow to everyone.

1.2.)  Maybelline dream mousse blush in "40- soft plum"

This moth I went back to my old loyal cream blush, it blends like a dream and looks like you have just come out of the sun, this was the first blush I ever bought and I have been rediscovering it since then.

1.3) Rimmel stay matte pressed powder

I bought it around two months ago and I have already started to hit pan on it...I love this compact so much, it keeps me matte throughout the day and works so much better than all the powders I have used before...definitely a must try.

1.4.) Maybelline lipsticks in "coral lustre" and " fuschia crystal"

These two lipsticks I have been absolutely loving in the month of December,I love how the bright pink shade adds an unexpected brightness to the face, and the soft coral color is perfect when you don't want to attract too much attention but still want to look cute.

2. SKINCARE FAVORITES

2.1) Fabindia tea tree skin toner

This is one of the best affordable toners I have used till now, I will review it in detail but I am loving its effects on my skin, I use it twice daily as a part of my CTM routine.

2.2.) Ayur deep pore cleansing milk

This product is just heaven when it comes to removing makeup, you just need one swipe to remove any kind of foundation, eyeshadow, eyeliner..it even removes waterproof makeup easily..I am definitely going to repurchase this one as it is almost finished

2.3.) Clean and clear blackhead clearing daily scrub

I use it daily before taking bath...and I love the fact that it is soo mild and gently exfoliates and removes all the dirt from the face and neck...definitely a must buy for me.

2.4) The body shop organic cotton rounds

I use it to remove my makeup , apply my toner, cleanse my skin and what not....these are the best cotton pads I have used till now, they are gentle on your skin, do not shred into pieces and are made of 100% organic cotton.

3. HAIRCARE FAVORITE

This month I did not pay that much attention to my hair, however I ironed it a lot and I used my Philips salon straight active ion to do that. I'L review it in detail later

4. FASHION FAVORITES

4.1) Chambray shirt from "Levis"

OMG I love this shirt so much !! I almost wear it to death, i just wear my tank top under it and throw in a scarf, and it looks super chic, I think every girl should own atleast one chambray shirt as there are so many different ways to style them.

4.2) Statement rings

As you guys know, I am obsessed with statement rings, i found myself wearing these three rings very often in the month of December, the third one I purchased recently, the haul of which you can see HERE

4.3) Wedges from "walkway"

I simply love these wedges they have a wooden platform, and a suede foot pad with satin top, I wear them with almost every outfit and I am afraid I  might ruin them very soon

5. FOOD FAVORITES

5.1). Happydent complete sugar free chewing gum

I pop this im my mouth when I go out of the house or when I am outside and i need to feel fresh. these are sugar free and help in reducing the risk of tooth decay

5.2) Flax-seeds

you can safely call them the wonder food, these are extremely beneficial for your health and provide you with omega 3 fatty acids which are beneficial for your heart, they also contain high levels of estrogen which will make your skin glowy and reduce the growth of unwanted hair in your body. they have antioxidant properties and are a great source of fibre. I saute these seeds on dry flame without oil and store these in a container. I eat them between means whenever i feel a little hungry. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND FLAX-SEEDS TO EVERYONE

6. MUSIC FAVORITES

"I do adore" by Mindy Gledhill

LOVE this song to the core, it is soo girly and fun at the same time...please do hear it

and thats it for my December favorites...I hope you like my this month's favorites...if you want to see my November favorites please click HERE

Till the next post

End of 2012 haul !

So, this is my first post of 2013, this year has been very ....umm..I don't know....my brother got married....which was the happiest change of my life till now....but then at the same time I am awaiting my MBA results and I literally sat at home this past year....so there's a lot of ambiguity and vagueness involved in my life right now...

So, before I end this year, I wanted to show you guys what I bought in the past couple of days, just some essentials and uhh non-essentials lol

1. Garnier fructis anti-dandruff strengthening shampoo

PRICE - INR 220

Wanted a clarifying shampoo to go along with the beer shampoo

PRICE- INR 145

I have tried almost all the roll-ons from Nivea and when this one came out I could not stop myself...

3. Maybelline colorama nail paint in  " Glitter Prata"

PRICE - INR 100

Just because Prayati and glitter go hand in hand...

4. Mac paint pot in "Indianwood"

PRICE - INR 1350

Did you see this absolutely gorgeous color ?? camera is not doing justice to it

5. Rings from the "LOCAL TRAIN"

PRICE - INR 30 EACH

I am obsessed with statment rings....and when I see them piled up in a card board box in trains....I just succumb to my temptations...

I like the concept of stacked rings, it looks very chic...

6. Oriflame brow definer pencil in "medium"

PRICE - INR 179

It was not a necessity, I just wanted to try the defined brow look

7. Park Avenue beer shampoo

PRICE - INR 160

Got this because of the peer pressure...lol

Just some basic colors that were really really needed....and I want to officially kick the ass of all the stand - alone stores of inglot who do not sell single eye shadows

PRICE - INR 95

Absolutely love the packaging and the fact that it has all the good stuff like cucumber, green tea and stuff....another much needed product

I want to thank you guys for supporting my blog...and I hope I am able to grow this blog the way I want in the coming year
